We reference this story in real-life situations with my son a lot. It's the story of a kid that has several things happen to him throughout the day/days and the father keeps giving him emotional support while making the kid realise that maybe the problem isn't as big as it feels. Then something happens to the dad and the kid helps the dad understand that maybe the problem isn't as big as it feels. The message is simple and really helpful on day to day situations.
